I really enjoy being an acupuncturist.
I have a First class BSc (hons) degree in Acupuncture and a Veterinary degree, the veterinary background giving me a strong foundation in physiology and pathology.
I practice traditional acupuncture and my post graduate training includes different aspects of traditional acupuncture, all of which benefit my skills in clinical practice.
I am currently studying for a certificate of clinical studies in Applied Channel Theory with Jonathan Chang.
Past courses have included Advanced Auricular Therapy (taught by Jim Chalmers), Meridian Wave acupuncture (Amos Ziv), Advanced Channel Palpation (Jason Robertson), Mei Jing Pulse Diagnosis (Jamie Hamilton) and Master Tung acupuncture (Dr Michael Chong).
I have an interest in meditation and stress reduction using relaxation and visualisation exercises.
I work at Lochthorn Medical Centre with Kirsty Hodgson.
Both Kirsty and myself see people with a wide range of conditions.
We specialise in acute and chronic pain, this can cover many conditions including musculoskeletal conditions.
I have a special interest in respiratory, digestive and urinary diseases. I am also very interested in treating PTSD and also phantom limb pain..
Kirsty has a special interest and many years experience in fertility treatment. Kirsty also has extensive experience in the field of palliative care.
Kirsty and I enjoy working with people in a holistic manner to improve health and wellbeing and look forward to meeting new people
